Don Haglund grew up working side by side with his father, Lawrence Haglund, auctioneering at dairy farm sales throughout the valley. He was a self-taught auctioneer for 46 years, just like his father. In 1953 he got married to JoAnn and 13 years later they became part owners of Silveira Livestock Auction Yard. Don operated under that name until 1978 when it became Farmers Livestock Market. Don and JoAnn continued operating with their two children Steve Haglund and Sheri Linhares at the Crows Landing location for the next 39 years. Don was a pillar of the livestock marketing industry for many years before sadly passing in 1998.

In 2007, Steve and his wife Jennifer along with Sheri and her husband Dave made the decision to move Farmers Livestock Market to its current location in Oakdale, CA - the facility was built in the late 50's. The Haglund and Linhares families have worked hard to uphold the integrity of the facility, while having to make some updates after a fire in 2013, Steve was proud to say that this property on Albers Road is still the same livestock marketing facility that it was when originally built. Steve and Sheri continued operating and raising their children who would be next to continue the family business. After completing school, Steve's two sons, Clinton Haglund and Easton Haglund began helping to run the yard alongside their father. Soon to follow was Sheri's son, Dylan Linhares; all to fill in the shoes of their late Grandfather Don.

In 2022, Steve suddenly passed leaving the business to Easton and Dylan to carry on the family's legacy. Clinton and his family had previously moved to Missouri where he owns and operates a feed lot operation. Much to the family's dismay, Dylan very shortly after, passed away from a tragic car accident. He had just completed auctioneering school and was to begin auctioneering at the yard just like his Great Grandfather, Grandfather, Uncle and Cousin.

Nowadays Easton, Jennifer, Sheri and Dave continue to run the business all while enjoying the next generation of the Farmers Livestock Market Family. We are truly grateful for the industry of which we work.
